The cast iron ends are particularly striking, with gently organic, almost branch-like modelling to the legs and arms, finished in an aged green paint with areas of natural wear and oxidation that add depth and sculptural presence. The ironwork remains solid and well balanced, offering both visual weight and practical strength.

The timber seat and backrest boards display a wonderfully honest surface, with deep grain, old fixings, softened edges and areas of natural lichen and moss growth — all evidence of long life in a traditional garden setting.
