Antique Regency Period Mahogany Sideboard Buffet Console Dresser Drawers, c1820

A handsome early 19th-century Regency mahogany sideboard, c.1820, showcasing the refined architectural styling and superb craftsmanship characteristic of the period. The stepped gallery back creates a commanding silhouette, enriched with fine cross-banding and feathered mahogany veneers that shimmer beautifully in the light. The arrangement of drawers includes a deep left-hand cellarette—originally designed for storing bottles—divided with compartments and retaining its early patination. Central drawers provide practical storage for linens or cutlery, while the right-hand drawer mirrors the elegant veneered façade. Supported on well-turned tapered legs, the piece stands confidently and presents wonderfully from all angles. With its bold grain, rich colour, and practical format, this sideboard is perfectly suited to a dining room, hallway, or boutique retail environment, offering both aesthetic presence and genuine Regency charm.
