A superb late Georgian oak dresser base or housekeeper’s cupboard, dating to circa 1800, offering classic English country proportions and excellent storage.

Constructed in solid oak throughout, the piece features a long rectangular top above a run of three drawers with  brass swan-neck handles and escutcheons. Below sit three fielded panel cupboard doors, opening to reveal generous internal storage with shelving — ideal for practical everyday use.

The dresser stands on bracket feet, with clean panelled sides and a well-balanced, understated form typical of late 18th century English craftsmanship. The surface shows a beautifully worn, honest patina, with marks and variation that give the piece real depth and character.

Versatile in use, this works equally well as a sideboard, kitchen dresser base, media unit, or hallway storage piece — fitting both traditional and modern interiors.
