An exceptional and original Louis XVI French gilt framed parlour sofa, dating from the late 18th century. Carved central cartouche with oval panelled frame, tapestry depicting a country scene. Shaped & upholstered arms. The seat with a further tapestry panel of foliate and lakeside scene. Turned tapered legs. Good condition throughout the piece. A super example.
