Antique Set Six Rosewood Balloon Back Regency William IV Dining Chairs, c1830

Antique Set Six Rosewood Balloon Back Regency William IV Dining Chairs, c1830

This fine set of six Regency William IV period dining chairs, dating to circa 1830, are beautifully crafted from rich rosewood. Each chair features the elegant balloon back design so characteristic of the era, with intricate carved scroll and foliate detailing along the backrest and mid-rail. The curvaceous cabriole legs enhance their refined silhouette, while the warm patina of the rosewood lends timeless sophistication.

Currently upholstered in a worn pink damask fabric, these chairs are offered ready to reupholster, allowing the buyer to select a finish that perfectly complements their interior. We provide an in-house re-upholstery service (£65 per chair plus 3m of fabric), offering a wide range of quality textiles to restore these chairs to their full splendour. Suggested fabrics can be sourced through Jane Clayton & Co.

Ideal for a formal dining setting, these chairs embody both comfort and style. Their classic proportions and enduring craftsmanship ensure they will remain a focal point in any Regency, Georgian, or eclectic modern home. With their history and quality, this set offers both decorative appeal and practical use for everyday dining.
